I have been a customer for nearly 2 years. I always walk out of the salon feeling refreshed and good about myself. Inevitably, someone will stop me and compliment my hair. Mackenzie is an amazingly creative stylist who has given me the gift of young-again, healthy hair. Her discerning, artistic eye enables her to design a cut that is truly flattering to her client’s face shape and features. She also is a patient teacher in helping me learn to style and care for my hair. All the stylists and staff radiate warmth and positive vibes and I always enjoy my time in the relaxing (but hip!) atmosphere of the salon (the music they play is great!) -Debbie

My hair desperately needed a rehabilitation treatment and Mackenzie was able to provide helpful tips/ products that will bring my curls back. They are all super professional and strict in terms of COVID safety protocols. So, while I felt like my hair was finally getting the care it needed, I also felt safe. The stylists are also wonderful people and I am so happy to have found them! They genuinely care about their clients. This was an overall really great experience. -Madolynn

This isn’t just a women’s hair salon! Artist Haus is the best barber I have ever been to. Just as the name implies, they take a truly creative approach to their haircuts. I don’t even bother asking for how I want it cut, and Mackenzie *always* just makes it look good, in the 3 years I’ve been coming here.

They have a nice hair product selection here too, and cool vintage-style clothes on sale (currently on hold due to the pandemic). -John

I love the Artisthaus! I have been coming here to get my hair done since the winter of 2018/19. I love the atmosphere there, welcoming, stylish, and relaxed. All of the stylists are passionate about their work, beyond friendly to the customers, and seem to love what they do. Whenever I have gone there I feel like an old friend stopping in. I have had my hair cut a few times and even was convinced to begin highlighting my hair again after a decade of my natural color. I receive countless compliments on my hairstyle... I cut a huge amount off a year ago and the amount of positive feedback I got had me wondering how bad my hair truly was beforehand! Mack, the owner, and stylist I've worked with listens intently to her customers and creates their vision for them. They also have great products that do make a difference in the day to day maintenance of hair care. I am moving out of East Falls but will be coming back seasonally for cuts/color. I LOVE Mack and the Artist Haus. First of all, just awesome haircuts; great welcoming beautiful environment full of plants and art. What I particularly love is that I've had hair EDUCATION over time: Mack has taught me how to take care of my hair in a way that jives with my minimalist and frugal lifestyle, and now my hair has been brought to a level of health and vitality that I have never had before. I also so appreciate how Mack cares about being a proactive member of the East Falls community, actively supporting the vitalization of our nascent business corridor in our neighborhood.
